Oxytetracycline POWDER for Injection

Arthritis, gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by oxytetracycline sensitive microorganisms, like Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E. coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. in cattle, goats, sheep and swine.

COMPOSITION:
Each vial contains:
Oxytetracycline (as oxytetracycline hydrochloride) .................................... 1 g

INDICATIONS:
Arthritis, gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by oxytetracycline sensitive microorganisms, like Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E. coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp. in cattle, goats, sheep and swine. 

ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE:
By intramuscular or slow intravenous injection. 
Cattle, goats, sheep, and swine: single dose, 5-10 mg per kg body weight, twice a day, for 2-3 consecutive days. 

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to tetracyclines. 
Administration to animals with a seriously impaired renal and/or hepatic function. 
Concurrent administration of penicillins, cephalosporins, quinolones and cycloserine. 

SIDE EFFECTS:
Locally, intolerance reactions may be observed ranging from pain at the injection site to muscle necrosis or phlebitis lesions during intravenous administration. 
As with all tetracyclines, general adverse effects have been noted such as gastrointestinal disturbances, less commonly allergic reactions and photosensitivity. 


WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
For meat: 8 days.
For milk: 48 hours.

SHELF LIFE:
36 months.

STORAGE:
Store below 25℃. Protect from light.
